5th year B.Arch students, accompanied by faculties members attended the NBCS 2026. What’s New in India’s Building Construction Standards conference organized by FOCUS – Forum of Construction Utility Services, Mumbai Chapter. The conference featured Shri V. Suresh, Chairman of the NBCS 2026 Committee and President Emeritus of FOCUS, whose remarkable contribution to the development and evolution of India’s National Building Code has significantly influenced the country’s built environment. Through insightful sessions by eminent industry experts, our students gained first-hand knowledge of the latest NBCS 2026 updates, emerging construction practices, and the future direction of building standards in India. The experience offered valuable industry exposure, bridging the gap between academic learning and professional practice.
