Eminent artist Shri Dattatraya Padekar conducted a two-day masterclass on Illustration on 24th and 25th August 2026 for all students of BFA (ACAAD) . He demonstrated figure drawing and guided students through the principles of observation, form, proportion, and expression, helping them understand how these elements come together to create a convincing figure. He also spoke about how drawing can be transformed into illustration, showcasing his personal collection of editorial illustrations, book covers, calendars and campaign. He explained the creative journey from developing an initial concept to selecting materials, tools, and techniques, and finally bringing the idea to its completed form.
